Will Daimler’s Sales Projection Dreams Come True This Year?
The odds certainly seem to be in Daimler Trucks’ favor as the entire industry has seen steady and impressive growth over the last few years. The company has set some specific goals for sales figures in 2015 that it not only hopes, but fully expects to reach: a 10 percent increase in heavy-duty and medium-duty truck sales. This number wasn’t pulled out of thin air, either; because Daimler came within a few thousand trucks of its 2015 sales goal in 2014, a 10 percent increase seems to be completely attainable.
Daimler is looking forward to even higher sales through the end of the decade. By the year 2020, Daimler has set a goal of selling 700,000 units. Its projections for worldwide sales have taken into account the difficulties different foreign markets are facing, but as far as the numbers for North America go, the future is looking bright.
