Heavy-Duty Alternator for Sprinter Vans
If you own a Sprinter 2500 or 3500 van manufactured from 2002 to 2012 by Freightliner, Dodge or Mercedes-Benz, then you’re in luck. A new heavy-duty alternator called the Delco Remy 18SI has been designed for these vehicles. A dual internal fan inside the alternator offers improved cooling. The alternator electronics have increased cooling from the dual fans, which helps the alternator run at lower temperatures, improving the efficiency and durability of the alternator. This new alternator has been consciously designed to cope with higher electrical loads, which helps the Sprinter van to operate more efficiently and conserve fuel.
Workhorse Tires from Goodyear
The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company now has an expanded offering of mixed-service tires with their new line of Workhorse tires. These tires have been designed for a variety of mix-service applications, including both on- and off-road capabilities. The Workhorse MSA comes in three sizes–11R22.5 (Load Range H); 11R24.5 (Load Range H); and 315/80R22.5 (Load Range L – 10,000-lb. capacity.)–and has a variety of new features. A high-mileage tread compound and improved tread volume help to prolong the life of the tires. A wide footprint helps to improve mileage, cornering, and handling. The tread design even helps to reduce road noise!
Heavy-Duty Water Pumps
Gates has introduced six new heavy-duty water pumps for diesel engines in Mack, Volvo, International, Navistar, Isuzu and Caterpillar vehicles. Enhanced seals and bearing in the pumps help to handle the load of a heavy-duty diesel engine. Plus, the pumps are designed with precise face machining so that they can offer a perfect fit.
